Summary

In 2029, a tired and weary Logan (Hugh Jackman) cares for an ageing Professor X (Patrick Stewart) in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and protect Charles are rendered useless when a young mutant arrives.

Is The Plot Interesting?

I loved this plot so much! No other comic book movie has taken a risk like this for a long time but it totally pays off. The story revolves around the characters which was something I thought needed to happen for this type of story to work.

Logan 1

Is The Acting Good?

Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart are incredible! They play a more beat down version of their characters and I thought this was brilliant. You expected this though, right? What came as a surprise to me was Dafne Keen; she was amazing as Laura.

Is The Directing Good?

The directing was great. I don’t think the movie would have been half as powerful if not at the hands of James Mangold; he just does such a good job at telling the story. I also think his previous work on this universe definitely helped him shape the movie.

Logan 2

Is The Cinematography Good?

The cinematography adds to the mood the movie was trying to achieve. I noticed that they got some beautiful shots of the scenery while Logan, Charles and Laura were on their travels as well.

Is It Worth Watching?

I once compared Logan to The Dark Knight… not because the story was similar, or that the characters related to each other (neither is true), but because the only comic book movie to have impressed me this much was The Dark Knight. Go and see Logan, you won’t regret it.
