During the early years of the US space program, a team of African-American women mathematicians served a vital role in the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit. This is their story.
Is The Plot Interesting?
Hidden Figures has a really interesting plot that I knew little about. It might be very science related but it’s done in such a way that you don’t need to understand the science to understand or like the movie.
Is The Acting Good?
I loved all the performances in Hidden Figures. The biggest surprise for me though was Jim Parsons. I’ve never seen him in a movie quite like this before and I thought he did really well.
Is The Directing Good?
The directing was nothing special, but it did the job. Theodore Melfi told the story well and that was the most important thing because it’s such an interesting story to tell, that only the right person could do it.
Is The Cinematography Good?
I thought that the cinematography added a lot to the drama and worked with the movie well. It sometimes helped me understand the movie a bit better also which I thought was great.
Is It Worth Watching?
I wouldn’t buy Hidden Figures but I think it is definitely worth a watch when you get the chance because it tells an extraordinary story that should be told. I wasn’t even aware of the story before I watched it and now I’m interested in it and want to learn more about it.
Every time we get a chance to get ahead they move the finish line. Every time.
