Life gets even harder for high school junior Nadine (Steinfeld) when her older brother Darian (Jenner) starts dating her best friend Krista (Richardson). Feeling more alone than ever, she confides in her teacher (Harrelson) and a thoughtful boy in her class (Szeto).

Is The Plot Interesting?

The Edge Of Seventeen is one of those movies that I can imagine getting better and better the more times you watch it, especially with the type of movie it is. I’ll definitely be rewatching it sometime in the near future.

Is The Acting Good?

Hailee Steinfeld gives a career best performance in The Edge Of Seventeen. I can’t imagine anyone else playing Nadine. Woody Harrelson is also really good in this movie as Nadine’s teacher Mr. Bruner.

Is The Directing Good?

For her first time directing a feature film, Kelly Fremon Craig did an outstanding job. If she keeps on giving us the same level on each of her upcoming projects, she could become one of my favourite directors.

Is The Cinematography Good?

The cinematography could not have been better. It reflected the movie so well that it was just seamless. If I had to say one negative thing though, it would be that the editing could have been slightly better.

Is It Worth Watching?

I’ve been wanting to watch The Edge Of Seventeen for a long time and when I finally got around to watching it, it didn’t disappoint. It was everything I thought it would be and more. If I hadn’t already done my top ten movies of 2016 list it would have been included.

There are two types of people in the world: The people who naturally excel at life. And the people who hope all those people die in a big explosion.
