After being a bridesmaid 27 times, Jane (Heigl) finds herself questioning her role as a wedding junkie when her younger sister Tess (Akerman) snags the man (Burns) she secretly loves. Meanwhile, a reporter (Marsden) sees Jane’s unusual tale as his next story.
Is The Plot Interesting?
The plot is a different take on the classic wedding story so in that respect it is interesting but I wouldn’t say it’s the most adventurous plot. It has its funny parts and it has its serious parts.
Is The Acting Good?
The acting is slightly above average. There are some good parts in this area but I wouldn’t say it’s amazing. Judy Greer and Malin Akerman were my favourites… they were really funny.
Is The Directing Good?
I have mainly positive things to say about the directing, like how most of the time it added to the mood of the movie, but in parts it could be quite unconnected. It didn’t have much substance.
Is The Cinematography Good?
The cinematography didn’t do much for me. It hardly had any effect on the movie and didn’t offer anything new. However, I don’t think this took anything away from the movie to make it a bad film.
Is It Worth Watching?
I found it fairly enjoyable but the movie is only for people who love this genre. You won’t like it if you don’t because, even though it’s not exactly a typical romance story, it has many clichés of a typical romance movie.
