Is The Plot Interesting?
Once I started watching the movie I was definitely interested in and entertained by the plot of The Dressmaker. It was not what I was expecting but it turned out to be better than what I was expecting.
Is The Acting Good?
Kate Winslet and Liam Hemsworth were the main attractions of this movie for me and they both do a fantastic job. I really bought into their relationship and the story they find themselves in.
Is The Directing Good?
Jocelyn Moorhouse was without a doubt the right person to direct The Dressmaker. I haven’t read the book yet, so I wouldn’t know if there were any changes, but it looks like she has adapted the book to the big screen really well.
Is The Cinematography Good?
The cinematography helped create more tension and anticipation when it was needed and added quite a lot to the movie. Strangely, I found that the cinematography told us more about the characters and the story.
Is It Worth Watching?
The Dressmaker is not what I was expecting at all; it’s a lot funnier than I thought it was going to be and a lot more emotional than I had anticipated. You should certainly go and watch The Dressmaker.
I reckon you came home for one of two things, revenge or… me…
