Is The Plot Interesting?
This movie won’t appeal to everyone, that being said I was actually invested in the plot and the world it’s set in for the entire three hours. I was fully immersed into the world and I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen.
Is The Acting Good?
Leonardo DiCaprio doesn’t have very many lines to say but he uses his facial expressions to show us how the character is feeling and he does it so well. Tom Hardy is also excellent as John Fitzgerald.
Is The Directing Good?
Alejandro González Iñárritu directs this movie beautifully. What I like about his directing style is that it’s very self-assured, and you can tell from the quality of everything else that he communicated what he wanted to the cast and the rest of the crew really well.
Is The Cinematography Good?
The Revenant has some of the best cinematography I’ve seen in a long time. Some of the shots are, quite simply, indescribable. I just can’t imagine how they got that many amazing shots in the conditions they were filming in.
Is It Worth Watching?
The Revenant is worth watching for the cinematography and directing alone, never mind the amazing performances that Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy and the rest of the cast give.
I ain’t afraid to die anymore. I’d done it already.
