Summary

In the city of Zootropolis all animals work together in peace. When Judy Hopps (Goodwin) becomes the first bunny join the police force she’s underestimated. Determined to prove herself, she takes on a mysterious case with the help of Nick Wilde (Bateman), a sly fox.

Is The Plot Interesting?

I love a good mystery movie and I love a good Disney movie so this plot appealed to me from the beginning. It’s a fun, enjoyable and entertaining plot that will appeal to children and adults.

Zootropolis 1

Is The Acting Good?

The voice acting is really good in Zootropolis. Jason Bateman stood out the most to me as Nick Wilde because he has a great tone of voice for this character. Also, Ginnifer Goodwin is a perfect choice to play Judy Hopps. She brings a sense of entitlement to the character.

Is The Directing Good?

The directing in Zootropolis is the best I’ve seen from an animation movie in a long time. Everything about the plot and characters has been developed and refined by Byron Howard, Rich Moore and Jared Bush (co-director) to make it the best it can be.

Zootropolis 2

Is The Cinematography Good?

If I’m honest I never really pay attention to the cinematography in animations, and unfortunately Zootropolis wasn’t an exception. There were a few nice surprises in this area but nothing that really stood out.

Is It Worth Watching?

Zootropolis has great characters, an excellent plot and good directing. Not to mention a funny and smart script. Kids will love the characters and the world this movie is set in – parents will too.
