When Shere Khan’s (Idris Elba) threat drives Mowgli (Neel Sethi) out of the jungle, Mowgli has to go on a journey of self discovery. And Mowgli’s jungle friends, Bagheera (Ben Kingsley) and Baloo (Bill Murray), are always around to help.
Is The Plot Interesting?
The plot is very similar to The Jungle Book (1967). Barely nothing has changed from the original apart from that this version is very updated with a lot better animation. The animation is so good you can hardly tell it is animation.
Is The Acting Good?
Neel Sethi’s performance as Mowgli might not be perfect but it’s one of the best child performance I’ve seen for a long time. I’ve also got to mention Bill Murray as the voice of Baloo because he was so good in that role.
Is The Directing Good?
Jon Favreau has been beginning to really impress me with his directing style, and he continues to do so in The Jungle Book. I hope he continues to direct movies like this in the future.
Is The Cinematography Good?
The cinematography in The Jungle Book really impressed me; it had some beautiful shots that worked really well with the scenes they were in to make them more powerful and emotional when needed.
Is It Worth Watching?
This movie is so enjoyable, every adult and child can gain something out of this movie whether they’re four or 73. If you liked the 1967 version you will love this version and you should definitely think about watching it.
I am Mowgli of the Seoni, and this is my home!
