After going through intense training with his mentor (Liam Neeson), Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) creates Batman. He intends to free Gotham City from the crime it is known for.

Is The Plot Interesting?

The first movie in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy shows Batman’s origins… who isn’t a little bit interested in that? It shows a darker side to Batman that we’ve never saw on the screen previous to this.

Is The Acting Good?

Christian Bale does a great job at supporting the dark tone of the movie, showing us a different side to Batman. The others actors are all well cast as well and also bring a fair amount to the movie.

Is The Directing Good?

I can’t say enough good things about the directing; Christopher Nolan knew what he wanted from his actors and what he wanted this movie to accomplish. He also does a good job at setting up future movies but also making it a good movie by itself.

Is The Cinematography Good?

The way this movie is shot and lit is the main factor of what makes the tone of the movie and the tone of the movie is what makes it different from other Batman movies that have come before it.

Is It Worth Watching?

Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy is totally worth a watch. And with Batman Begins being the first one in the trilogy this is the one you should probably watch first before the next two.
