After teleporting to a different universe four young outsiders gain superhuman powers. The team must learn to control their new powers to prevent Doctor Doom, a former friend, from destroying the Earth.

Is The Plot Interesting?

The plot is interesting, it’s just the pacing that ruins it. There is some good character building in the beginning and you do start to care but the weird time skip after they gain their powers and the complete change in tone in the second half dulls it.

Is The Acting Good?

The cast, especially the Fantastic Four, is what interested me about this movie in the first place. I have liked them all in previous projects and they all gave an okay performance in the movie but their characters are a bit flat.

Is The Directing Good?

I think this is the place where Fantastic Four went wrong. Josh Trank, I think, was too busy trying to re-boot the franchise that he forgot to think about this film as an individual project.

Is The Cinematography Good?

The cinematography is probably the second best thing in the movie, behind the cast. It isn’t the best cinematography I’ve ever saw but it is good enough that you notice it and think about the shots they’ve created.

Is It Worth Watching?

If you’re really interested in the Fantastic Four then you’re still probably going to see it but be prepared to be disappointed. If you’re like me, not too bothered about the franchise, then don’t bother wasting your time.

I am not going to be a tool.
